Hard maple has a smooth, close grain that suits a clean, contemporary look, and the Buckskin colour adds a soft, natural tone to the room. Solid hardwood is made from a single piece of real wood throughout, so it can be sanded and refinished over its service life, subject to the amount of usable wood remaining and professional assessment. Solid hardwood needs an appropriate subfloor and installation method for the site conditions. Follow the flooring manufacturer's installation instructions and have your installer assess the subfloor and moisture conditions before installation.
