Lauzon Essential Hard Maple Sapphir is a Canadian-made solid hardwood flooring with a cool-toned, blue-grey stain — a sophisticated choice for modern and contemporary interiors across Toronto and the GTA. Part of Lauzon's Essential Collection, this floor is finished with a durable aluminum oxide coating and backed by a 25-year residential wear-through warranty.
Lauzon has been manufacturing premium Canadian hardwood flooring since 1985. The Essential Collection delivers the same high-quality Canadian Hard Maple milling and antimicrobial PermaClean finish as their higher-end lines — at an accessible price point. Hard Maple is one of the hardest domestic wood species in Canada, with a Janka hardness rating of 1,450 lbf, making it highly resistant to dents, scratches, and heavy daily foot traffic.

Why Choose Lauzon Hard Maple Sapphir?
The Sapphir colour brings a cool, contemporary edge to the natural warmth of Hard Maple. Its blue-grey tone pairs beautifully with white oak furniture, matte black fixtures, and the clean-lined interiors popular in Toronto condos and modern GTA homes. Because Hard Maple has a tight, uniform grain with minimal knot variation in the Essential grade, the Sapphir stain reads evenly across the floor — giving you a consistent, polished look from room to room.
Hard Maple is the species of choice for high-traffic areas. It's the same wood used in professional hockey arenas and bowling lanes — built for decades of use without compromising appearance. Solid hardwood can also be sanded and refinished multiple times over its lifetime, making this floor a long-term investment for any Toronto home.
Installation Notes
This is a solid ¾" hardwood and must be nailed or stapled to a plywood subfloor. It is not suitable for installation over concrete or below-grade (basement) applications. We recommend acclimating the product for a minimum of 3–5 days in the installation area before beginning work. Professional installation is available across the GTA — ask us about our hardwood installation service.
