Lauzon Essential Beech Cape Cod is a Canadian-made solid hardwood flooring with a soft grey-brown stain — a refined, vintage-modern tone that brings understated elegance to any room. Beech is one of the lesser-known domestic hardwood species in Canada, but it's a favourite among designers who want something with real character that stands apart from the ubiquitous maple and oak offerings. Cape Cod's grey-brown palette makes it a natural fit for coastal-inspired, transitional, and Scandinavian-influenced interiors across Toronto and the GTA.

Lauzon has been manufacturing premium Canadian hardwood flooring since 1985. The Essential Collection delivers quality milling with Lauzon's aluminum oxide finish and antimicrobial PermaClean technology — a durable, low-VOC surface treatment that protects your floor while supporting healthier indoor air quality. European Beech has a Janka hardness rating of 1,300 lbf, making it harder than Red Oak and well-suited to everyday residential use. Installation Notes

This is a solid ¾" hardwood and must be nailed or stapled to a plywood subfloor. It is not suitable for installation over concrete or below-grade (basement) applications. We recommend acclimating the product for a minimum of 3–5 days in the installation area before beginning work.
