Red oak is a traditional North American hardwood with a visible, expressive grain. The Amaretto colour is applied to ¾-inch solid planks that can be sanded and refinished over the life of the floor, subject to the wood remaining above the tongue and professional assessment.
Solid hardwood needs a suitable wood subfloor and should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Protect the floor from standing water, use felt pads under furniture, and clean with products made for hardwood floors. Solid ¾-inch hardwood is designed for nail- or staple-down installation over a suitable wood subfloor.
