What's Included in Our Installation Service?
Our installation service covers the complete process from delivery to finishing trim. When you book installation through Top Floorings Depot, here's what you get:

- Floating installation for laminate and SPC vinyl (no glue, no nails)
- Nail-down or staple installation for solid hardwood over plywood subfloors
- Glue-down or floating installation for engineered hardwood

- Old flooring removal available as an add-on ($1.50/sqft)
We recommend booking a subfloor assessment before your installation date, especially for older GTA homes in Scarborough, North York, and Etobicoke where subfloor conditions vary significantly.
Which Flooring Types Do We Install?
Top Floorings Depot installs every flooring category we sell. Here's what to expect for each type:
SPC Vinyl Plank (LVP): Installed as a floating click-lock floor over any flat, clean subfloor — including concrete. No glue, no nails, no moisture barrier required for most installations. This is the fastest and most straightforward installation we offer, starting at $1.50/sqft. Ideal for basements, condos, kitchens, and bathrooms across the GTA.
Laminate Flooring: Also a floating click-lock installation, starting at $1.50/sqft. Requires a vapour barrier over concrete subfloors. Not suitable for wet areas like bathrooms. Our installers handle all subfloor prep and underlayment as part of the process.
Engineered Hardwood: Can be floated, glued, or nailed depending on the subfloor type. Starting at $2.00/sqft. Suitable over concrete and plywood, and compatible with radiant in-floor heating systems — a common requirement in newer Toronto and Vaughan condos and homes.
Solid Hardwood: Must be nailed or stapled to a plywood subfloor. Not suitable for concrete or below-grade installations. Starting at $2.00/sqft. Our installers follow Ontario Building Code requirements and manufacturer specs to protect your warranty.
Do You Handle Flooring Removal?
Yes. Old flooring removal is available as a separate add-on service starting at $1.50/sqft. This covers removal of existing laminate, vinyl, hardwood, and engineered hardwood flooring before your new floor is installed. Tile removal is not included — please ask us about tile-specific removal when you call.
We recommend booking removal and installation together so your project runs on a single timeline without scheduling gaps.
Baseboard and Trim Installation
New flooring almost always requires new baseboards — especially after removing old flooring that sat at a different height. Top Floorings Depot supplies and installs baseboards and trim starting at $2.80/linear foot, which includes both the material and the labour. This is one of the most overlooked parts of a flooring project, and finishing it properly makes a significant difference in the final look of the room.
