Appalachian Earth is a solid red oak hardwood floor from the Signature collection, offered here in Prestige grade. Red oak's characteristic grain gives the floor natural depth, and each plank measures 4¼ inches wide by ¾ inch thick. Each box covers 18.9 square feet.

Red oak is a traditional North American hardwood with a visible, expressive grain. The Earth colour is applied to ¾-inch solid planks that can be sanded and refinished over the life of the floor, subject to the wood remaining above the tongue and professional assessment.
Solid hardwood needs a suitable wood subfloor and should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Protect the floor from standing water, use felt pads under furniture, and clean with products made for hardwood floors. Solid ¾-inch hardwood is designed for nail- or staple-down installation over a suitable wood subfloor.
